Magic City owner, Marc Tortorici, is stepping down
as director of the Birmingham based volleyball club.
Magic City will suspend club operations for this club
season.
Will we be back next season? That remains to
be seen. God is leading me in a different direction at this
time in my life. If He wills it, we will return in 2011.
The seven years I have been involved running this club has
been so amazing and rewarding. What a blessed time. Magic
Ciy alums include 38 athletes playing at the collegiate
level on scholarship, 15 All Conference players, numerous
All-Academic All-Conference players, and even one
All-American. Five Southern Regional Championships and a
record 50 match winning streak highlight our team
accomplishments. That is far from the "REAL" story.
The relationships we developed are the story.
Friendships and fellowship memories will last forever. It
was never about money, politics or individuals....its about
the players. I am most sad that I won't be involved with
the amazing young ladies who have passed thru my life and
their incredible parents. You will all be remembered and
cherished.
