Stangohr
Danielle Graff
Danielle is from Cincinnati, Ohio where she had a
successful career in high school and club. As a high
school student-athlete she garnered multiple awards that
helped land her a full scholarship to Division I
Birmingham Southern College. During her 4 years at BSC
Danielle again continued to set multiple records,
currently ranked top 5 in nine different categories
for career totals. She led the team in hitting
percentage 3 of the 4 years there as well digs per game
and blocks per game her senior year. Danielle was named
to the All-Tournament Team multiple times and
All-Academic all 4 years. She was named the Big
South Player of the Week, becoming the first female
student athlete ever at BSC to achieve that honor. Her
senior year she was also named to the All-Conference
Team and All-Conference Academic Team, while
being nominated for Academic All-American. She has
coached multiple age groups these last 5 years, each
with a very successful record, and is looking forward to
another exciting season. Danielle will graduate Medical
School this May from UAB.
Justin Dee
Coach Dee
has been coaching volleyball for 10 years at every level
from high school to NCAA I. He is currently the Head
Volleyball Coach at Briarwood Christian School. He led
the lions to a 37-11 record this season and a 2nd
place finish at the AHSAA State tournament. He was
honored this year with Birmingham News Metro Coach of
the Year. His last four years before returning to
Birmingham were at Lyon College in Batesville,
Arkansas. While in Batesville, Dee also coached
Arkansas Juniors Volleyball Club. He also was a member
of the Magic City family in 2003, coaching the Magic
City 17s to nationals in Houston, TX. In 2003, Dee was
an assistant at Birmingham-Southern College.
Sheriden Stangohr
Sheriden is from Shawnee, Kansas where she played for Mid-America
Volleyball (MAVS) club team and attended St. Thomas
Aquinas HS, where her team placed 3rd in 6A state
finals. She was awarded a scholarship to Samford
University and has made a huge impact on the team during
her first two seasons. This past season (2007) Samford
had its best season in school history. During her two
years at Samford Sheriden has made All-Tournament
Teams at UCF and USA Jaguars Tournaments in 2006 and
All-Tournament Teams at DePaul Tournament and Samford
Barber's Classic Tournament in 2007, where she was also
named the tournament MVP. This past season she was
named to 1st Team All-Conference Ohio Valley and was
voted co'MVP on the team for overall season. In
addition, Sheriden ranked 53rd
in Country in
NCAA DI stats for blocks per game in 2007 while at the
same time she set the school record for number of blocks
in a season. This will be her second year with Magic
City!
18-Blue: Haven O'Quinn
As a
student-athlete for Daphne High School and member of the
Bay Area Juniors club team, Haven received the
Mobile Register's Alabama Player of the Year
award prior to committing to Division I Troy University
as a high school senior where she was awarded a full
scholarship. While at Troy, Haven started every match
of her four year tenure and is currently 2nd
all time in digs per game
in the Troy record books, as well as in the
top
five in six different record categories.
Haven coached the Magic City 16-1 team last year, and is
looking forward to another fantastic season this year.
Haven is now married and teaches first grade at Helena
Elementary School.
